Software for running game servers and communities

Natchland Studios is a one person software studio in the UK. I build and support a Minecraft server manager, a Discord bot, an app hosting platform, a game server manager and a game relay. I also run the infrastructure they all depend on.

Every product is supported by the person who wrote it. Custom work is available alongside them.

MC Server Manager

Run Minecraft servers from your own PC

Java and Bedrock, Paper, Spigot, Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and proxy networks, with a mod and plugin browser, modpacks, scheduled tasks, backups and a dashboard that works from your phone. Version 4.2.0, released on 25 October, lets one proxy front servers on your other PCs and Linux machines.

Relay Players join through my relays, so nobody has to forward a port. A tunnel client on your PC connects out and the relay reads the Minecraft handshake to route each player to the right server, Java over TCP and Bedrock over UDP. Relays run in France and Virginia on OVH and in Sydney and Singapore on BinaryLane, with Singapore in beta. The free tier takes 4 players.
Dashboard Manage servers from a browser through a relay on Cloudflare, without opening anything on your PC to the internet. Members are invited by email with a role. Alerts reach your phone when a server crashes. A REST API with keys covers anything you'd rather script.
Linux A headless agent for Linux machines, installed with one command and managed from the browser. £12 a year on up to three machines, with the first week free.
Backups Worlds upload straight from the app to Cloudflare R2 in 64MB parts. The Worker signs each upload without the data passing through it, which keeps a 90GB world as cheap to back up as a small one.
Platform WPF on .NET 10, in nine languages. One codebase builds both Microsoft Store editions and a direct download that updates itself.
Limitations The desktop app is Windows only. Linux runs the agent and there's no Mac version. Cloud hosting is closed to new servers.
The relay, Plus and cloud storage are priced on the app's own site. Every plan is on mcservermanager.com/pricing, the store page here covers the app itself.

NotNatch

One Discord bot in place of several

Moderation, automod, logging, tickets, levels, role panels, welcome messages, giveaways, polls and feeds, free on every server. Servers moving from Dyno, Carl-bot or MEE6 can bring their role panels, log channel and levels across with /import.

Premium £2.99 a month or £29.99 a year for three servers. The bot runs under your server's own name and avatar, roles and channels are backed up daily, logs and ticket transcripts stay searchable for a year and every limit goes up.
Architecture Node with its built in SQLite, with the bot and its website in one process. Every feature is a module that can be switched on or off with /settings or from the server's page.
Privacy Sign in is through Discord. The access token is used once to identify you and the servers you manage, then discarded. /privacy deletes your own data at any time.

NatchHosting

Hosting for apps, bots and databases

Deploy from a folder, a GitHub repo or a Gitea repo with no config file. NatchHosting detects what the project is and runs it. Web apps, Discord bots, scheduled jobs and PostgreSQL are each a service with a fixed monthly price.

Pricing A bot is £1.50 a month, a web app £5 and a small database £2. There are no overage charges. Two pull request previews per service are included.
Architecture Each app runs in its own systemd-nspawn sandbox, managed by an agent written in plain Node with no dependencies and no Docker. The control plane is a Cloudflare Worker, certificates come from a built in ACME client and natch up deploys from a terminal.
Limitations One server, in London. No Dockerfile support and no UDP, so it doesn't host game servers.
A NatchHosting project with a web app, a bot and a Postgres database all live, their memory use and an £8.50 monthly total
A project with a site, a bot and a shared database, £8.50 a month in total
NatchGSM

Dedicated game servers on your own PC

The sibling to MC Server Manager for other games. Install and run dedicated servers, then manage them from the app, a web dashboard, an HTTP API or a command line. Rust is supported first. The next games are chosen by request and vote on natchgsm.com.

Status Version 0.2.2, free during early access. A paid plan will follow, its price isn't set yet.
Architecture .NET 10, with an Avalonia app over a background service that runs each game as a module on a shared core. Updates are signed and verified before they install.
Limitations Windows 11 only for now, Linux is in testing. The installer isn't code signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning.

NatchPlay

A game server relay for any game

A small agent runs next to your game server and players connect through the relays, so the router stays untouched and your home address stays private. MC Server Manager's relay already does this for Minecraft. NatchPlay brings it to every other game.

Status In development. The site is live and its ping figures are measured from your browser, the agent isn't released yet.
Planned pricing £2 a month for most games. Free for games the relay can verify from their first packet, such as Minecraft.
Architecture .NET 10 relay nodes with their own DNS server and io_uring on Linux, in Europe, US East, Sydney and Singapore.

Infrastructure

Built on infrastructure I run myself

The products depend on servers I operate directly: relay nodes in four regions, the boxes the bots and sites run on and NatchHosting's server in London with the agent that runs every app on it.

Cloudflare carries DNS, Workers, D1, KV, R2 and Durable Objects, which hold accounts, licence keys and world backups. Stripe handles subscriptions and refunds across every product, alongside the Microsoft Store for its own sales.
